This track is written in the style of The Smiths. I wrote it for a short-lived band I was in that had a fantastic singer who sounded like Morrisey. Although it doesn't sound so much like The Smiths with me singing it, when I demoed it to the guy he went through it phrase by phrase and told me how it mirrored "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out". So, my work here is complete. It doesn't *sound* like "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" but it is very much in that style.
The lyrics have no particular meaning, they just tumbled out to fulfil the demo of the song. I half expected him to write his own lyrics but the band folded.

Say You Love Me
=============
I've been waiting for a thousand years
It's so long it's so long it's so long
With a million tears,
And I've patience enough for both of us
But I don't think that it's enough
I'm waiting, I'm waiting,
I'm waiting I'm waiting here
Say you love me,
Say you love me,
Say you love me,
Oh, my dear,
Say you love me,
Say you love me,
Say you love me,
Oh, my dear,
My dear
I’ve been searching for a thousand years
It's so long it's so long it's so long
Since the path was clear
My eye is on the hour-glass
I don’t think that we can last
I'm waiting, I'm waiting,
I'm waiting I'm waiting here
Say you love me,
Say you love me,
Say you love me,
Oh, my dear,
Say you love me,
Say you love me,
Say you love me,
Oh, my dear,
My dear
